Movie Theater Audiences In India Lighting Off Fireworks Whenever Action Star Salman Khan Appears On Screen Feels Like The Future Of Cinema
Daily Mail- Movie-goers in India were left terrified on Sunday after a group of fans set off fireworks inside a cinema after Bollywood star Salman Khan appeared on screen. Footage shared to social media shows dozens of people erupting in panic as fireworks were lit inside the theatre in Malegaon, Maharashtra.
This is not the first time that fans of the Bollywood actor have attempted such a stunt. In 2021, following the release of Antim: The Final Truth, several clips of fans bursting firecrackers inside cinema halls went viral.
There has been a whole lotta healthy debate about the movie theater experience taking place here on Barstool Sports over the last few months (healthy debate). Is it worth spending a small fortune to see a movie at the theater with all the entertainment options available to us in the year of our Lord 2023 since a giant screen and fresh if not occasionally stale popcorn can only go so far?
Well I think the mad lads in India just answered that question with a resounding Yes and figured out a way to take the theater experience to a whole new level. Sure leather recliners, Dolby Surround Sound, and fancy IMAX theaters are cool. But you know what's REALLY cool? Explosions taking place directly next to your face as they occur on the silver screen. YouTube and Netflix can offer a lot from the convenience of your own home. But they can't have you experience being in a building as it blows up up like John McClane in Die Hard, getting stampeded like Mufasa in The Lion King, or your body turning to ash like Thanos in Endgame thanks to an indoor fireworks show bigger than the one at the end of Return of the Jedi.
If you thought the smell of that movie theater popcorn was intoxicating, you should take a huff of some fresh firework smoke drizzled on top. Truly orgasmic stuff that will have you feeling all the right things in your special cinema loving body parts.
Tom Cruise may be credited with saving the movie theater industry for staring down COVID and releasing Top Gun 2 in the movie theater as it was meant to be seen. But I think it's safe to say Salman Khan is the one that will usher the biz into its next era of 4D movies, whether he likes it or not.
